What changed in nuIT, release by release. Updates roll out to all customers automatically, nothing to install. Product names: EVO is the webshop and editor, IMS the order and production management, Exchange the integration layer.

Electronic invoicing, product inventory and SAGE

This version introduces ZUGFeRD-compliant electronic invoicing, a first version of product inventory management and the integration of SAGE, plus several further changes and fixes.

New features

  • ZUGFeRD electronic invoicesInvoices can be issued in the ZUGFeRD / Factur-X format. The invoice PDF is converted to PDF/A-3b with the XML payload embedded, so any compatible accounting system can read it. ZUGFeRD is activated and configured per environment.
  • Product inventory (V1)Products can carry a stock quantity. When inventory is enabled, the available quantity is shown in the product dialog, product list and cart in EVO Next and read-only in IMS. Quantities are limited to the available stock, sold-out products are shown as unpurchasable.
  • SAGE integrationnuEvolution can be connected to SAGE. Materials and companies can be imported from SAGE, and invoices can be exported from IMS to SAGE.

Changes

  • Project name in order and offer namesThe project name is available in order and offer data and can be used in automatically generated names and documents.
  • Project details in document templatesProject name and details are part of the order data and can be used in offer, order and production document templates.
  • Project name in production order namesAutomatically generated production order names can include the project name.

Bug fixes

  • Misleading “Material is not active” warning when a cart quantity exceeded the available stock
  • Production documents were not always created correctly when creating or updating production orders
  • Position and translation of the available quantity in the IMS product detail view

Hotfix: IMS Next usability

A hotfix release with fixes for usability and functionality in IMS Next.

Changes

  • Side menu remembers its stateThe IMS side menu remembers whether it is collapsed or expanded, separately per screen size. Small screens default to collapsed, large screens to expanded.

Bug fixes

  • Profile management: switching to another module jumped back to profile management
  • IMS content frame could get stuck in an infinite login loop with certain request latencies

Embedded editor, projects and sketches

This version introduces the embeddable editor, a new project management module in IMS Next, a Sketches module in EVO Next and many further features and fixes.

New features

  • Projects in IMS NextA dedicated project management module: orders are grouped into projects with list and detail views, project statuses, order counts per status and filtering by project. External IDs can be set read-only for ERP-managed projects.
  • User invitation and self-registrationUsers can be invited by e-mail and complete their registration in a sign-up form that follows the environment's theme, logo and language.
  • Embedded editor (web component)The EVO editor can be embedded into a customer's own e-commerce site. A ready-to-use web component (npm and CDN) opens the editor to draw and edit profiles without leaving the shop. Access is secured by embed tokens with domain allow-lists, and orders are created through the exchange API.
  • Profile conversion for Jorns and VariobendProfiles can be exported to Jorns (including nusync) and Variobend machine formats.
  • Bend cost per material groupIndividual bend cost tables per material group, so pricing reflects the higher cost of folding aluminium or stainless steel.
  • Faster product loadingProducts load page by page with prefetching and a loading indicator, which greatly improves responsiveness for large catalogues.
  • Cancel order from EVOCustomers can cancel an order directly in EVO. The feature is enabled per environment and intended for internal use with field workers.
  • Sketches in EVO NextFree-hand sketches with a text tool can be created, added to the cart and ordered. Sketches are shown and downloadable in IMS.

Version 1.118.0

EVO Next for the US market

This version opens the new webshop (EVO Next) to the US market with full imperial unit support, and adds pre-defined lengths and price previews in the editor.

New features

  • Pre-defined length selectionMaterial groups can define a list of allowed lengths. When such a material is selected, the length input becomes a dropdown with the pre-defined values, preventing free input.
  • Price preview in the “Add to cart” dialogWeight, price per length, unit price and total price are shown before a profile is added to the cart.

Changes

  • Configurable grid size in the new editorOne grid square can represent a fixed size, for example 20 mm or 1 inch. Configured by nuIT on request.
  • Improved completion date offset logicIn addition to the existing day offsets for delivery and pick-up, a start time can be set after which extra days are added to the offset.
  • Nested product sub-categoriesProduct categories in IMS support multiple levels of sub-categories, with a redesigned view and a context menu per category.
  • Checkout blocks unpurchasable materialsIf a material in the cart became unpurchasable, the checkout shows an error and cannot be completed.
  • Reworked material group discounts per companyDiscounts are entered directly in a table of material groups and saved with one click.

Bug fixes

  • Changes to saved profiles required a manual reload
  • Materials wrongly marked as “Material invalid”
  • Duplicate orders or offers from a single checkout
  • Wrong length after loading a profile from the cart into the editor
  • Product length attributes, profile length fields, price calculator and conical lengths used mm instead of the configured inch unit
  • Disabled conditions on custom fields in the cart were not applied
